Mission Statement
Our mission is to ensure that all adults who live in Union City have the skills necessary to function effectively in their personal and family lives, in the workplace, and in the community.
The mission of the Union City Adult Education Program is to integrate English Literacy and Civics Education into the educational experience of all learners and facilitate human growth in schools, homes, communities, and workplaces. In carrying out this mission, the Union City Adult Education Program explicitly values diversity in people and perspectives. This course supports the New Jersey State of Education framework by addressing student abilities within the context of a diverse society, recognizing the need to support all individuals in life-long learning, and validating all individuals as valuable members of their communities, including their communities of learners.
