The Union City School District is grateful to all the men and women who serve and protect our communities, especially our Union City Police Department. Today is the perfect time to show officers we understand how difficult their job is. It is important to show officers how much we understand their difficult work and appreciate their sacrifice and risk.

🎉Happy 238th Birthday New Jersey🎉

On December 18, 1787, New Jersey became the 3rd state to ratify the U.S. Constitution and was admitted into the Union, with delegates from all 13 counties in New Jersey voting unanimously. New Jersey was nicknamed “The Garden State" in the nineteenth century by Abraham Browning, a Camden attorney, who stated, "the Garden State is an immense barrel, filled with good things to eat and open at both ends, with Pennsylvanians grabbing from one end and New Yorkers from the other.”
